Thomas 'Tom' Crawford Young was born on January 20, 1905, in Blossom, Texas. He married Dovie Jane Sawyer on October 27, 1922, in Durant, Oklahoma. They had four children during their marriage. He died on December 18, 1998, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 93.
