January 8, 1923 - June 10, 2019

Wife of James D Pemberton
Dorothy Lorine Pemberton, 96, passed away peacefully with loving family by her side at Spohn South Hospital on Monday, June 10, 2019. Born in Seminole, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Virgil and Sophie Reed, who preceded her in death, as did her son Jimmy D. Fisher and husbands J.D. (Jake) Fisher (28 years) and James Dean Pemberton (27 years) respectively.

Dorothy lived a life full of love, compassion, understanding, and faith in the Lord. She herself would say, “I’ve lived a good life.” All who knew her, loved her. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and baking, helping others, and reading her Bible.

Her life was a living example of bible verse Ephesians 4:32- “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”

Dorothy is survived by her son Ronnie D. Fisher (Norma), sister Deloris McMillion, 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. All of these she loved and touched deeply.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel, followed by interment at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
