Funeral services for Wendi Dawn Sims, age 39 of San Angelo, Texas and formerly of Seminole will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the M.S. Doss Chapel in Seminole with Dean Boyer officiating. Burial will follow in Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Wendi was born March 9, 1977 in Seminole to Debra (Berry) and Wendell Sims. She had lived in San Angelo for the past 25 years, moving from Seminole.

Ms. Sims worked in healthcare. She loved her children and her granddaughter, and generally loved life. She had a giving, loving heart and put no limitations on herself. Wendi opened her home to anyone and cared for everyone. In her spare time she enjoyed going to the lake and all outside activities.

Wendi Sims passed away at her home in San Angelo, Texas on February 14, 2017. She is preceded in death by her father, Wendell Sims; her stepfather, Doyle Cottrell; one brother, Michael Sims; and by a grandmother, Helen. She is survived by one son, Michael Aaron Gevara of San Angelo, Texas; one daughter, Megan Rae Gevara of San Angelo, Texas; her mother, Debra Cottrell of Seminole, Texas; two brothers, Brad Sims and wife Talya of Lubbock, Texas and Doyle Ray Cottrell, Jr. and wife Heather of Seminole, Texas; two sisters, Sharay Cottrell and wife Kylee of Seminole, Texas and Michelle Davis of Odessa, Texas; and one granddaughter Kinsley (my little Princess) Ramirez of San Angelo, Texas.
