George G. Brown, age 75, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018 in Kingsville after a sudden illness. He was born October 2, 1942 in Rossville, Texas to Antonio “Tony” C. Brown and Cecilia Gonzales Brown. Mr. Brown served in the U.S. Navy for 21 years until his retirement. Afterwards he was employed for the Coca Cola Bottling Company in Beeville and later as an aircraft maintenance supervisor at NAS Chase Field Beeville and NAS Kingsville. Presently Mr. Brown was employed at the Kingsville Wal-Mart as an auto service manager.
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents.
George is survived by his companion of 30 years, Odelia Martinez of Kingsville; two daughters, Cynthia Brown and Judy Lakso (Raymond), both Beeville, Texas; three sons, Tom Brown (Sylvia) and George Brown Jr. (Alice), both of Beeville and Christian Brown of California; one stepdaughter, Melissa Martinez (Rene) of Beeville; three stepsons, Henry Martinez (Juliz) of San Antonio, Texas, Roland Martinez (Denise) of Allen, Texas and Leroy Salinas (Krystal) of Kingsville; one brother, Tony Brown (Gloria) of San Antonio; three sisters, Virginia Ramirez of Poteet, Texas, Mary Garza of Pleasanton, Texas and Susie Martinez (Fred) of Poteet; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Military honors will take place at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9975 IH-37 Access Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78408.
