Funeral services for Herman Hildebrand, age 84, of Seminole will be held Thursday July 20, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Old Colony Mennonite Church with Bishop Cornelius Fehr officiating. Burial will follow in Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Mr. Hildebrand was born November 11, 1933 in Mexico to Margaret (Reimer) and Jacob Hildebrand. He married Helena Reimer in Mexico February of 1957 and was a member of the Old Colony Mennonite Church. He worked as a farmer and had lived in Seminole since 1995.
Herman Hildebrand passed away Monday July 17, 2017 at Yoakum County Hospital in Denver City. He is preceded in death by his wife, Helena Hildebrand in 2010; one son, one daughter, six brothers, one sister, and one grandson.
Herman Hildebrand is survived by:
Two sons: John Hildebrand and wife Elizabeth of Seminole, Jacob Hildebrand and wife Helena of Seminole;
Six daughters: Tina Wall and husband Martin of Canada, Anna Thiessen and husband Diedrick of Seminole, Margaret Wiebe and husband Peter of Mexico, Sara Reimer and husband John of Canada, Elizabeth Fehr and husband Frank of Seminole, Mary Friesen and husband Frank of Seminole;
Three brothers: Jacob Hildebrand of Canada, Abe Hildebrand and wife Sara of Seminole, John Hildebrand and wife Maria of Mexico;
Two sisters: Helen Wiebe of Bolivia, Margaret Krom and husband Abe of Mexico;
34 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
