Charles Joseph
BOILERMAN CHIEF PETTY OFFICER US Navy
November 12, 1945 - December 1, 2016

Charles Joseph Krohn, Sr. of Corpus Christi (Flour Bluff), Texas passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016. Chuck was born on November 12, 1945 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Charles A. and Dorothy (Campbell) Krohn. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1964 and proudly and honorably served his country until his retirement in 1984 as a Boiler Technician Chief Petty Officer.

Chuck was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed fishing, boating, waterskiing, travel, motorcycles, telling stories from his old Navy days, and an occasional shot of Crown Royal. He loved NFL football, and his favorite teams were the Texans, Eagles, and whoever beats the Cowboys. He was an active and proud member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8932. The “V” was his home away from home and his second family. Chuck was “a man’s man,” always willing to lend a hand and word of encouragement to those in need.

Chucks funeral will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. The Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Mass of Resurrection at 10:00 a.m., and a reception in the Parish Hall immediately thereafter. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.

Fair winds and following seas, Chuck. We have the watch.
