Graveside services for Dorothy Hale, 80 of Seminole, Texas, will be held Monday, January 22, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Gaines County Cemetery with Minister Aaron Scott officiating. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole. The family will greet friends Monday, January 22, 2018 from 10 a.m. to noon at Boyer Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hale was born February 27, 1937 in Seminole, Texas to Olive (Stevenson) and Bert M. Ancell. She married Jerry Hale in Plains, Texas on September 24, 1960. Dorothy enjoyed quilting, sewing, and reading. She loved Gaines County, her ranch and her family, and she was a person who was known to speak her mind. She previously lived in Artesia, New Mexico between the years of 1971-1981.
Dorothy Hale passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 at Callander House in Wolfforth, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband Jerry; her parents, Olive and Bert; four brothers, Lee, Berl, John, and Jerry; one sister, Pauline Ancell; and one granddaughter-in-law, Jessica Combs.
She is survived by one daughter, Paula Combs and husband Gary of Levelland, Texas; two grandchildren, Cody and wife Emily Combs of Midland, Texas and Brad and wife Morgan Combs of Levelland, Texas; and five great-grandchildren, Garrett Combs, Tatum Combs, Brendon Wood, Sealey Combs, and Charlotte Combs.

JERRY HALE
HOBBS--Jerry Hale, 58, of Hobbs, died Sunday (Nov. 6, 1994) at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock. Services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Chapel of Hope. The Revs. Stacey Carter and Doug Hall will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery, Seminole, Texas, under the direction of Chapel of Hope, Hobbs Funeral Service.
