Funeral Mass for Michael “Mike” Kubicek, age 58 of Seminole, Texas, will be celebrated Monday, July 8, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Father Jose De Dios Gonzales officiating. Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at St. James Catholic Church. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.
Michael was born August 31, 1960 in Sherman, Texas to Celia (Reilly) and Joe Kubicek. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church. He was a simple man with lots of character and a great sense of humor. He loved playing pool; he enjoyed country music and dancing and was a master at line dancing. Mike loved sports; his favorite sport was gymnastics as he was an excellent gymnast as well. He adored his family and loved spending time with them. He had a deep, unending love for his son Ryan. He was affectionately called “Uncle Booger Nasty” and he treasured his nieces and nephews very much.
Mike Kubicek passed away July 4, 2019 at his residence. He is preceded in death by his father Joe Kubicek in 2015; a sister Cyndi Seymore; and his grandparents. He is survived by one son, Michael Ryan Kubicek of Bentonville, Arkansas; his mother, Celia Kubicek of Seminole, Texas; two brothers, Larry Kubicek and wife Paula and Dirk Kubicek, both of Seminole, Texas; three sisters, Vicky Johnson and Brenda Hughes and husband Guy, both of Seminole, Texas, and Sandra Powers and husband Randy of Prosper, Texas.
