Funeral services for Tommy Jacobs, 88, of Seminole will be conducted Monday, December 2, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. in the South Seminole Baptist Church with Mike Stone officiating. Interment will follow in the Gaines County Cemetery with services under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Seminole. He passed away Monday, November 25 in Seminole.

Tommy was born April 28, 1931 in Terrell to James Thomas and Bertie Parsons Jacobs. Tommy and June Scott were married April 1, 1960 in Lubbock and she preceded him in death June 1, 2008. Tommy served in the United States Army as a Military Policeman. He was a member of South Seminole Baptist Church, he had been employed by Gaines County Sheriff’s Department as well as the Dawson County Sheriff Department as a jailer for more than 20 years. Tommy enjoyed golf, hunting and spending time with his boys. He was preceded in death by his wife and a sister Betty Gann.

Tommy is survived by four sons Tommy and Donny Sutherland, Richard Jacobs and wife Olga of Leander and Mark Jacobs and wife Beckey of Midland; one brother Bill Jacobs of Keller; along with seven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friend visitation will be held Sunday, December 1st from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. in the Ratliff Funeral Home in Seminole.
