Funeral services for Maria Fehr, age 65 of Seminole, Texas will be held Thursday, January 23, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Somerfeld Mennonite Church with Pastor John Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Mrs. Fehr was born in Mexico October 23, 1954 to Helena (Voth) and Jacob Friesen. She married Cornelio Fehr in Mexico on October 7, 1973. She was a member of Somerfeld Mennonite Church and a homemaker. She enjoyed working outdoors, listening to music, and family gatherings.
Maria Fehr passed away at Seminole Memorial Hospital January 19, 2020. She is preceded in death by her father, Jacob Friesen, one daughter, Helena Fehr, and one sister Eva Fehr. She is survived by her husband Cornelio Fehr of Seminole, Texas; three sons, Cornelius Fehr and wife Bertha, Jacob Fehr and wife Betty, and Tony Fehr and wife Elma all of Mexico; five daughters, Susie Wiebe and husband Ed of Seminole, Anna Penner and husband Martin of Seminole, Martha Harder and husband Jacob of Canada, Esther Voth and husband Elven of Mexico, and Maria Fehr and husband John of Seminole, Texas; her mother, Helena Friesen of Mexico; nine brothers, John Friesen and wife Eva, Peter Friesen and wife Eva, Jacob Friesen and wife Anna, Willy Friesen and wife Tina, Diedrich Friesen and wife Lena, Frank Friesen and wife Lisa all of Mexico, Ben Friesen and wife Sara of Canada, Abram Friesen and wife Betty of Seminole, and Henry Friesen and wife Martha of Seminole, Texas; three sisters, Helena Dueck and husband Toby of Seminole, Texas, Tina Loewen and husband Henry of Mexico, and Martha Stoesz and husband John of Canada, and 43 grandchildren.
