In 1860, Shelby County, Tennessee there can be found a son, W. D. Boyd, 20 years old in the hopusehold of John B. Boyd.
In 1880 W. D. is living in Arkansas with his first wife, Lucy & children. By 1900 he has moved the family to Ellis County , Texas. Lucy died in 1885 shortly after moving to Texas and W. D. has remarried to Eva C. Porter and had more children by her. W. D. Boyd and his two wives, Lucy F. Matley Boyd and Eva C. Porter Boyd are all three buried in Sardis Cemetery, Ellis County, TX.
