The best things in life are the people we love, the places we've been, and the memories we've made along the way. " Barbara Stanford Brewer, known to those that loved her most as Mimi, loved better than most people, lived better than most people, and filled her life and those that loved her with more precious memories than most people.

Barbara Jean Stanford Brewer, 84, of Denver City, passed from this life and met Jesus face-to-face on February 24, 2018. She was welcomed into glory by her parents L.D. and Irene Stanford, her good friends, Burl and Mary Barron, and many other family and friends. Barbara was born on December 22, 1933 in Lubbock, Texas. She attended Cooper ISD where she graduated in 1951. Upon graduation from high school, she attended and graduated from Draughn's Business College. In 1953, Barbara met and married the love of her life, Dallas Brewer. This past July, Barbara and Dallas celebrated 64 wonderful years of marriage. Dallas and their two daughters, Dormye and Kim, and their families were Barbara's priority until her last breath. Her greatest joy in life was watching her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren grow-up, become successful, and overcome obstacles.

Until Barbara and Dallas's recent move to Lubbock, Barbara was an integral part of the Denver City community. She loved the people of Denver City. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church where she was the pianist. Music was her passion, and she shared that love of all things music not only with her church family but with her line dancing family.

Mimi's family would like to especially thank Kim Toney and Enith Solis for helping out. Difficult times are a bit less difficult with special people around.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 64 years, Dallas Brewer, Children: Dormye and Mel Halbrooks of Lubbock, Kim and Vernon Hancock of San Angelo, Brother: Jack Stanford of Lubbock, Sister: Kay Richardson of Mansfield, Grandchildren: Darin & Brian Dorsett, Danna & Michael Reidl, Kylee Whipple, Kirk Whipple, Tarren & Josh Huff, Keenan Hancock
Great Grandchildren: Owen Reidl, Emma Reidl, Ashton Huff, Jaxson Huff, Lexson Huff, and a multitude of Family and Friends

Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 6:00 P.M to 7:30 P.M in the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel of Denver City.
