This marker though face down is identified as
the marker of John Thomas McKenzie who is
the son of Rev J W P McKenzie & Matilda Parkes.
John was born and died on this same farm where
his father John Witherstoop Petigru McKenzie
was the founder and President of the college.
He married Mattie Barry Apr 27, 1870 who is
buried next to this marker.
