*Obituary for Bobby Lee
DENVER CITY - Bobby Lee Cunningham, age 68 passed away Saturday, December 29, 2007 at Regency Hospital in Odessa. He was born June 24, 1939 to Marion Thomas and Thella (Hindsley) Cunningham in Denver City, TX. He served his country in the U.S Navy. He married Linda Menoher on July 27, 1962 in Denver City.

After 25 years of service, he retired from B.P Amoco, Moving from Odessa to Ruidoso, N.M. He loved the town and people in this mountain community. Delivering meals on wheels to senior citizens was his pleasure. He enjoyed the people on his route. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ruidoso, previously a long-time member of Vine Baptist Church of Odessa. The love and kindness shown from both churches has been deeply appreciated. When Bob was a very young man he started attending a small church in Carlsbad, N.M. The pastor preached about Jesus. The convicting power of the holy Spirit caused him to realize that he needed to trust in the Lord. Upon asking Jesus to be his Lord and Savior, a miracle happened within his heart causing him to love the Lord and care about others. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather devoted to his family and friends. He made a lasting impression on the people he knew and loved. The kind of man he was had everything to do with his decision to trust in the Lord those many years ago. This same decision has given him a home in Heaven with the Lord. We will always miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Owint Lee Cunnungham, brothers Lloyd and Billy Joe Cunningham, and sister, Leo Trotter.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Linda Cunningham of Odessa, His loving daughter, Gwena Reana Cunningham of Odessa, his loving grandson, Scott Ryan Stuart of Odessa, his brother Monty F. Cunningham of Denver City his sisters Nita Tucker of Arrington, Tenn., Louise Henson of Cleavland, Tenn., and Janie Todd of Iuka, Ill.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m Thursday, January 3, 2008 at Vine Baptist Church with Tim Gilliland and Johnny Touchstone officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. in Denver City, TX.
