Services will be under the direction of Boyer Funeral Chapel of Denver City, in association with Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.

Mr. Deaton passed away on Friday, Nov. 20, 2009 at his home in Denver City following a lengthy illness. He was born on June 8, 1918 in Sparkman, Ark. to Nellie (Brown) and D.W. Deaton. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Denver City. He was a big joker and loved to make people laugh; he also loved to fish. The best years of his life were when he and Imogene lived in Kingsland, Texas for 14 years.
