Funeral services for Melody Dudley Fannin, 53, of Denver City will be conducted Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at 10 a.m. in the First Assembly of God Church in Denver City with the Reverend Ronnie Lunsford officiating. Interment will follow in Denver City Memorial Park Cemetery with services under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City.

Melody was born to Charles and Floyce Dudley on Oct. 18, 1959, in Hayward, Calif. She married Robert Fannin of Denver City in 1992, where she was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, scary movies, reading and her four dogs. She loved her family and friends. Melody was preceded in death by her mother, Floyce Dudley; her stepfather, Lonnie Parkhill; and her grandparents, Pat and Frankie Minor. She is survived by her husband, Robert Fannin of Denver City; four sons, Daryl Ray Cody of San Diego, Calif., Dustin Allen and Daniel Charles Cody of Houston, and David Ryan Fannin of Georgia; her father, Charles Dudley Jr. of Tennessee; her grandfather, Charles Dudley Sr. of Tennessee; a brother; Charles Chad Dudley III of Azle, Texas; two stepbrothers, Mark Hirtzel and Byron Hirtzel; a stepsister, Angela Floyd; along with several nieces and nephews. Melody went to be with our Lord on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012.
