Funeral services for Homer Lee Gary, 90, of Albuquerque, New Mexico will be conducted on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Assembly of God Church in Denver City with Reverend Gene Benningfield officiating assisted by Reverend Adiah Mogal with service under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City. Interment will follow in the Denver City Memorial Park Cemetery. Lee passed away January 24, 2014 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Lee was born on January 4, 1924 in Coleman Texas to Amos and Earl Lillian Gray. He married Peggy Sue Benningfield on September 22, 1960 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Lee was a Pearl Harbor survivor and served on the USS Pennsylvania from June 5, 1941 to August 15. 1945. He was instrumentation technician, a member of the Pipe Fitters Union Local 211 and loved gold prospecting. Lee was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Sue Benningfield Gray on May 4, 2008.

Lee is survived by His son; Sean L. Gray and his wife Tonya of Albuquerque New Mexico; granddaughter. Faith Gary; brother, Bill Scott; two sisters, Edith Pritchett and Betty Boyd. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
