O.B. (Bob) Harris, 52 was dead on arrival at a local hospital at 3:45 p.m. Saturday of an unexpected illness.
Funeral services have been arranged for 10 a.m. Monday at Oakland Heights Baptist Church. Dr. LaVonn Brown is to conduct the rites. Welch Funeral Home is directing arrangements. Mr. Harris, a noative of Longview, was born May 27, 1914. He was engaged in the real estate business and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a Baptist. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lois Harris, Longview; one daughter, Mrs. Barbara Muntz, Longview; two grandchildren; four brothers, Charles L. Harris, Howard Harris and Perry L. Harris, all of Longview, and Horace N. Harris, Dallas; and three sisters, Mrs. Royce Gandy, Dallas, Mrs. Inez Broyles, Sulphur Springs, and Mrs. Anna Martha Pope, Longview.
