DENVER CITY (Special) - Services for Beryl Wilder, 74, of Denver City will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Davidson, pastor of Faith Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will follow in Denver City Memorial Park under direction of Ratliff Funeral Home.
Wilder died Saturday, May 17, 1997, in Lubbock.

He was born Jan. 18, 1923, in Quitman. He married Barbara Trice on Oct. 22, 1949, in Lovington, N.M.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946 and earned the Asiatic-Liberation Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Ribbon and two overseas service bars. He had lived in Denver City since 1954 and was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church.

He was a U.S. postal service clerk for 25 years and retired in 1984. He then worked for six years for the Denver City Motel.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Randal of Denver City; a daughter, Charnese Allen of Denver City; two brothers, Kim of Big Sandy and Gerald of Fort Worth; two sisters, Juanice Head of Burleson and Joyce Ann Horton of Dallas; and one granddaughter, Kimberly Ann Allen of Denver City. Ratliff Funeral Home.
