James Frederick KEMP was born March 17, 1914, to Sidney and Lillie Bennett KEMP, and died at his home near Darrouzett on November 30, 1968, at the age of 54 years.
He grew to manhood, married and resided at the homestead where he was born.
He was married to Zata COOK on August 7, 1938, and to this union three daughters, Arlena, Lillie, and Wanda; and two sons, Vernon and Donald, were born.
He accepted Jesus as his personal Savior at Mt. View Baptist Church, Logan, Okla., in 1935. An example of his devotion and dedication to his fellowman was his assistance in building the Darrouzett First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Zata; two sons, Vernon and Donald of the home; three daughters, Arlene HICKMAN of Bartesville, Okla.; Lillie JOHNSON of Darrouzett, and Wanda HARRIS of Perryton; two sisters, Edith FROGGATTE of Ottaway, Kans., and Mae ORR of Guthrie, Okla.; one brother, John KEMP of Shattuck, Okla.; three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and one infant brother.
