*Obituary
Rosary for Octavio M. Gomez, 73, of Post will be at 7 p.m. today at Hudman Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Cross Catholic Church with the Rev. Malcom Neyland officiating.
Burial will be in Terrace Cemetery under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home of Post.
He died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002.
He was born Feb. 27, 1928, in Mexico, where he married Micaela de la Paz on Sept. 25, 1950.
He had been a resident of Post for the past 11 years and worked on farms most of his life. He was a Catholic.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, M.P., Antonio and Rocky, all of Post, and Octavio Jr. of Texoma; a daughter, Erika Armendariz of Seminole; five brothers, Carmen of El Paso, Pascacio and Manuel, both of Mexico, and Eliseo and Jose, both of Midland; three sisters, Evangelina Gomez, Balvina Ronquillo and Rosa Valenzuela, all of Mexico; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
