Mrs. Burl (Lenora) Douglass, 79, of 501 S. 5th Street, Crockett, passed away
Thursday, Aug 19, in a local hospital. Mrs. Douglass was a lifetime resident of
Crockett and Houston County, and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Waller Chapel, with Rev. E.
P. Ramsey officiating. Interment followed in Evergreen Memorial Park. Mrs.
Douglass is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were
nephews, Albert L. Smith, Jasper W. Branmen, Gerald L. Smith, N. A. Smith, Sam
C. Harkins and Bevin O. Smith. Waller Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements
