Funeral services for Mary Margaret Mahler, age 81 of Pampa, formerly of Seagraves were held Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 1205 Avenue F, in Seagraves with Pastor Scott Futrell officiating. Burial followed at Cemetery Seagraves. Family visitation was held from 6 to 7 p.m. at Boyer Funeral Home on Friday, March 6, 2020. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Shriners Hospital for children or Saint Jude. All services were under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Margaret Mahler was born January 27, 1939 to Lillian Leigh Holt and Luther Womack Jones in Tokio, Arkansas. She graduated from Seagraves High School in Seagraves, in 1957 and then earned an associate’s degree in nursing, and then became the school nurse for Seagraves ISD for several years prior to retirement. Margaret also served her country as a secretary for the Navy in Washington D.C. in 1958. After leaving the Navy, she worked as a telephone operator before marrying her husband of 50 years. She married Donald L. Mahler of Seagraves March 24, 1961.

Mrs. Mahler passed away Monday, March 2, 2020 at Coronado Health Care Center in Pampa.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son, Clay Mahler.

She is survived by one son, Wayne Mahler and wife Maryann of Center Point; two daughters, Carol Mahler of Liberal, Kansas, and Denee Robison and husband Justin of Huntsville; one brother, Billy Jones and wife Sherry of Bivens; one sister, Carolyn Sue Hulen and husband Robert of Andrews; one daughter-in-law, Lisa Mahler of Wheeler; six grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. www.boyerfuneralhome.net
