ANDREWS - Santiago A. Barrera, 71, of Andrews died Wednesday, May 9, at his home in Andrews.
Rosary will be 7 p.m. Friday, May 11, at McNett Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. The Rev. Bernard Gully will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Mr. Barrera was born April 26, 1936, in Sanderson, Texas. He served in the US Army from 1959 to 1961 and was stationed in Ft. Carson in Colorado and in Ft. Hood in Texas he was a member of the armored division.
He is survived by his daughter, Marta Cruz of Andrews; sons, Jaime (Jimmy) Barrera of Midland and Juan Antonio (Tony) Barrera of Midland; brothers, Homero Barrera of Pecos, Gilberto Barrera of San Antonio and Juan Manuel Valles of Andrews; sisters, Rita Gonzales of Andrews and Virginia Ochoa of Del Rio; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildern.
