Lino Chacon, Sr., 79, of El Paso, Texas passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016 in El Paso.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 10:00 AM Thursday, November 17, 2016 in McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with Pastor R.C. Rivera officiating. Interment will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery. Prayer services will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Lino was born on September 27, 1937 in Cocomorachic, Chihuahua, Mexico to Filomeno Chacon and Eleuteria Sandoval Chacon. He married Sue Salgado in November 1955 in Dexter, New Mexico. Lino lived in Dexter from 1955 to 1976, where he farmed. He moved to Andrews in 1976 and worked for Kirby for 5 years and Tretolite for 10 years before retiring. He moved to El Paso in March 2015 from Andrews. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughters, Elva Lara and Lusmilia Gallegos, one brother and one sister.

Lino is survived by his wife, Sue Chacon of El Paso, three daughters, Delia Chacon of Andrews, Elida Cervantes and husband, Rey, of El Paso, and Olga Chacon of Fredericksburg, one son, Lino Chacon, Jr. and wife, Mary, of Henderson, one brother, Feliepe Chacon and wife, Ofelia, of Andrews; three sisters, Josefa Dominguez, Micaela Peria, and Aurora Diaz, all of Mexico, 19 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren.
