Ismael Sosa Fuentes, 66, of Andrews passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2016 in Andrews.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 14, 2016 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Curtis Benninghoff and Rev. Luis Esparza officiating. Military graveside services will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery. The family will be having a meal following the graveside service at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Andrews. He was born on May 6, 1949 in Pecos, Texas to Ursulo Fuentes, Sr. and Josefina Sosa Fuentes. He was raised in Pecos and served in the U.S. Army for 4 years, and then the Army National Guard for 20 years. He moved to Andrews in 1982 from Pecos. He married Juanita Lopez on June 15, 1988 in Midland. He worked for Orson Electric in Andrews from 1982-1994. He owned and operated Jif Electric in Andrews since 1994. He loved all types of sports and NASCAR, had many friends, and was very family oriented. He attended Centro Evangelistico Church in Midland. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers, and 1 sister.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Fuentes of Andrews; 2 sons, Julian Rayos and wife Angela of Pecos and B.J. Aguilar of Lubbock; 2 stepsons, Jaime Barrera and wife Edna of Midland and Tony Barrera of Midland; 1 stepdaughter, Marta Cruz and husband Rene of Andrews; 3 brothers, Ursulo Fuentes, Jr., Manuel Fuentes, and Israel Fuentes, all of Pecos; 7 sisters, Maria Hernandez of Lemoore, CA, Amelia Granados, Connie Esparza, and Alicia Ramirez, all of Pecos, Celia Chavez and Nicolasa Lopez of Hobbs, NM, and Catarina Salazar of Odessa; 7 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, and 11 step great grandchildren.
