This cemetery is northeast of Mineola on Martin Bridge Road (FM 1254) and next to Freeman Chapel Church. The church and cemetery are named in honor of Lee Freeman, pioneer in the area who is buried here. His grand-daughter, Willie Conger, who lived aross the road from the chapel is also buried here.
When the cemetery was surveyed in 1970, only about one-fourth of the graves were identified with markers. The current survey was performed in 2004.
