Norman Douglas (Doug) Irwin, 62, of Andrews, Texas passed away Monday, January 21, 2013 at his home in Andrews.
Doug was born June 16, 1950 in Andrews, Texas to Gene and Virginia Irwin.
He graduated from Sul Ross University in 1975. He married Terry Jo Langford January 10, 1976 in Oxford, Florida.
Doug loved to rope and he was a member of the USTRC, Team Ropers Association and the World Series of Team Roping. He loved getting up early and he loved to ride his horses and work the ranch. He loved his family and spending time with them along with his dog, Buster. Doug was a great cook and he was famous for his chili. He was a lifelong resident of Andrews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Lee Brown Irwin, in 1987, his son, Christopher Irwin in 2003 and his father, Eugene Douglas Irwin in 2004.
Doug is survived by his wife, Terry Irwin of Andrews, TX; son, Coy and wife, Melissa Irwin of Andrews, TX; sisters, Susan Irwin Watts of Kerrville, Texas, LeeAnn Ballew and husband, Pete of Andrews, TX; two grandchildren, Emma and Hunter Irwin of Andrews, Tx.
