Treva Jo Keeton, 75, passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2004, in Plano, Texas, following a brief illness.
She was born Treva Jo Poole on May 7, 1929, in Pecos, Texas, to Edward and Hollie (Brown) Poole. She spent her early life in the Panhandle of West Texas, but moved to Carrollton, Texas, as a senior in high school. She married A.J. Taylor in 1947 and became the mother of three children, spending most of her adult life in Lubbock. As she grew older she moved frequently, living in Idaho, Arizona, New Mexico, and at the time of her death, in Powderly, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sydney Steve Keeton, and her oldest daughter, Betty Alyeen Davis. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Jo Chism of Plano; a son, Bobby Wayne Taylor of Lubbock; four grandchildren, Mark Davis of Idaho, Kerrie Shirley of Oregon, James Sheffield of Morristown, Tenn., and Cheri Chism of Plano; three sisters, Ruby Long of Petersburg, Wanza Banister of Bridgeport, Texas, and Sylvia J ordan of Lake Worth, Texas; and one brother, Bob Johnson of Mesa, Ariz. Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 4, at 10 a.m. at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
