Robert Norfleet Cox has gone to his heavenly home. Robert was born on February 6, 1929 to Olan and Gwen Cox, prominent ranchers in Yoakum County, Texas.

After graduation from Denver City High School he joined the Navy, and was assigned to the cruiser USS Pasadena CL65. He spent three years on the Pasadena operating in the Pacific. He graduated from Texas Tech, worked for Continental Oil and Phillips Petroleum before going into business for himself, owning Cox Rental Tool serving the oil industry in Denver City, Texas. During that time he was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, the Denver City Methodist Church, was a Free Mason and a Director of the Wells Fargo Bank. In recent years he lived at Eagles Trace in Houston where he had a multitude of friends. He was a regular in his pew at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church and Bridgebuilders Sunday School Class, where he will be sorely missed.

Robert is survived by his sons Mark Cox, his wife Susan, Todd Cox, his wife Bonnie, his daughter Amy Lott , her husband Paul, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by his loving companion and best friend Ann Foster, his sister Marie Adams and his brother Bill and Peggy Cox; numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of his life will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 21 at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church. In Lieu of flowers please make contributions to your favorite charity.
