DENVER CITY — Services for Jerry M. Gordy, 75, of Denver City, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Denver City with the Rev. Randy Butler officiating.
Burial will be in Denver City Memorial Park under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole. He died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2663 in Denver City.
He was born Sept. 26, 1927, in Palo Pinto. He married Genevieve Petty on May 9, 1950, in Clovis, N.M. He worked for the county landfill for 15 years and was a World War II veteran.
He was a member of First Baptist Church and an active member of the Denver City Senior Citizens.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Quanah Joe Gordy of Odessa; one daughter, Debra Jean Stevens of Denver City; one brother, Robert Gordy of Pampa; two sisters, Lucille Moore of Amarillo and Bernice Cocharan or Morilton, Ark.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
