ANDREWS -- Services for Charlie Brooks Porter, 72 of Andrews, will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 18, at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Ted Short, pastor of Grace Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
He died Monday, May 14, at a local center in Andrews. He was born Nov. 23, 1934 in Culman, Ala. He married Opaline Presson, Nov. 17, 1979 in Odessa. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Andrews.
Survivors include wife, Opaline, Andrews; daughters, Barbara Mayo and Peggy Snell both of Hobbs, NM., and Elizabeth Hayes of Andrews; brothers, Ed Easter, Birmingham, Ala., and Joe Easter, Stephens City, VA; sister, Ruby Nell Boseman of Muscle Shoals, Ala; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
