Isabel Perez Rodriquez, 80, of Andrews passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017 in Odessa.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Mass at 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 201 NE Avenue K, in Andrews with Rev. Joseph Ogbonna, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 9 AM – 9 PM at McNett Funeral Home, and Rosary services will be at 7:00 PM Monday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Isabel was born on January 16, 1937 in Sanderson, Texas to Crescenciano Perez and Paula Pena. She was raised and attended school in Sanderson. She married Guillermo P. “Willie” Rodriquez, Sr. on July 28, 1955 in Sanderson, and they moved to Andrews in 1959. While in Andrews, she was a homemaker to her husband and children. Her family remembers her as a loving wife and mother who dedicated her life to her family. She was a beautiful spirit who greeted everyone with open arms and a smile. She enjoyed traveling, watching novelas, game shows, bingo, and going to the casino. She cherished the handmade gifts from her husband, gardens, plants, flowers and her little dog sweetie bear. She was gentle, kind and lived life by the golden rule, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” Matthew 7:12, Luke 6:31, which she displayed when spending time with her family. Most of all, she lived her life loving her beloved family and her husband of sixty-one years. She was an amazing woman who was a friend and confidant. She was warm, caring, understanding, clever, and witty. She was loved by her family and will be greatly missed. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Guillermo P. Rodriquez, her sisters Trinidad Zepeda, Maria Garcia, Teodora Vasquez, Bicenta Rodriquez, and her brothers Benito Perez and Jose Perez.
Isabel is survived by her 11 children, Helen and Roman Diaz of Andrews, Anabelia and Richard Acosta of Elsa, Willie Jr. and Debbie Rodriquez of Andrews, Cornelia Shryock of Andrews, Veronica and Anthony Rowell of Odessa, Rebecca and Jose Rogelio Rivera of Andrews, Viola and David Woods of Andrews, Amelia Rodriquez of Odessa, Cynthia and Allen Warren of Andrews, Rosie and Alvaro Rodriquez-Gonzalez of El Paso, and Jorge and Noelia Rodriquez of Andrews, and sisters Paula Jimenez, Juanita Martinez, Pascuala Fierro, and Martha Nave, 30 grandchildren, and 48 great grandchildren.
