Obituary:
DARROUZETT - George J. Schoenhals Jr., 82, died Wednesday, May 12, 2010.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Darrouzett Cemetery with the Rev. Dan Carter, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. May 29, 2010, in First United Methodist Church of Darrouzett. Arrangements are by Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Booker.
Mr. Schoenhals was born Nov. 24, 1927, on the family farm in Lipscomb County to George and Mollie Fritzler Schoenhals. He married Fay Robins on Feb. 6, 1948, in St. John's Congregational Church in Follett.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Lyndon Schoenhals of Lubbock, Monty Schoenhals of Canyon and Warren Schoenhals of Laverne, Okla.; two brothers, Bill Schoenhals of Meeker, Colo., and Sam Schoenhals of Ridgecrest, Calif.; two sisters, Esther Bruntz of Bazine, Kan., and Ruth Trew of Alanreed; and nine grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church of Darrouzett, P.O. Box 157, Darrouzett, TX 79024; or a charity of choice.
