Sallye Emma Armstrong, 84, of Andrews, Texas passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 12, 2014 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews, Texas. Rev. Donnie Rollie will officiate. Burial will follow in Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Sallye was born January 13, 1930 to Fred F. and Alda Wray. She was employed as a beautician for many years. She retired from Conoco Oil Company in Houston and lived in Andrews, Texas. Sallye was a very kind person and always wanted to help others in need. She loved all her grandchildren very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Fred Wray; three sisters, Lola (Jim) Gibson, Vera (Sis) Wood, and Billye Ruth Pharr.
Sallye is survived by her best friend, James Earl Roberts; three sons, Kelly Armstrong of Andrews, Texas, Kent Armstrong and wife Kathy of Portland, Texas, and Kevin Armstrong and wife Shannon of Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren, Alex Armstrong of Portland, Texas, Jason Armstrong and Adam Armstrong of Andrews, Texas, Samantha Armstrong of Lubbock, Texas; and many great-grandchildren; nieces Shannah Blevins of El Paso, Texas, Xan Broom of Arlington, Texas, Donna Armstrong of Oklahoma, and Stacy Patton of Garland, Texas; nephews Charles Richard Gibson of Belton, Texas and Jack Armstrong of Midland, Texas.
