Dorothy Barron, 79, of Andrews passed away, Thursday, February 10, 2011, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas.
Dorothy was born December 22, 1931 in De Leon, Texas. She moved to Andrews in the 1960's from De Leon.
Dorothy loved to cook and take care of her grandkids and even the neighborhood kids, she loved them all and she was everyone's "grandmother". Dorothy enjoyed listening to the scanner and keeping up with what was going on. She loved to visit with people and she could talk to anyone. Dorothy also loved music.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her granddaughter Bonnie Earhart; brothers Joe and Jerry Rich and her sister, Jewell Whitley.
She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Hernandez and husband Raymond of Andrews; two brothers, William "Bill" Rich and wife Mildred of Zapata,TX, Marvin Rich and wife Louise of Gorman,TX; four grandchildren, Cindy Jefcoats McCrary & husband James of Odessa; Billie Jefcoats Edwards, Brian Jefcoats & wife Shanon, and Cassie Jefcoats all of Andrews; ten great-grandchildren, Johnathan Earhart, Chris Earhart , Matthew Jefcoats, Justin McCrary, Skylar McCrary, Riley Jefcoats, Reid Jefcoats ,Steven Draughan, Carla Edwards, Ann Marie Edwards and; and four great-great-grandchildren, Dillon Earhart, Dakota Lee Earhart, Daylon Jefcoats and Darren Jefcoats.
