Funeral services for Frankie Lee Minor, age 86 of Denver City, Texas will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at the First Assembly of God Church in Denver City, with Pastor Ronnie Lunsford officiating and Pastor Gene Benningfield assisting. Burial will follow in Denver City Memorial Park. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Chapel of Denver City. Frankie passed away February 8, 2008 at Yoakum County Hospital in Denver City following an illness.

She was born in Brownfield, Texas July 12, 1921 to Claude Chester & Nancy Jane Freeman. She was a person with many talents and interests. During World War II, she was a welder at a shipyard in Richmond, California. She has also worked as a nurse at Gaines County Hospital in Seagraves, Texas; in the office at Frost Brothers Department Store in San Antonio, Texas; and as a dental assistant in Hayward, California. The majority of her life she was also a housewife, mother, and grandmother on their farm in Yoakum County, Texas.

Frankie married Charlie Green in 1939 until his death in 1943. She then married Pat Minor in 1945; he preceded her in death in 1990. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Denver City, and was always a people person - her family says she collected friends like little boys collect stray puppies. She is preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, her daughter Floyce, one granddaughter, and three brothers.

Survivors include four sisters Clovis McDonald and Dallene Reeves of Lubbock, Texas
Jane Long of Hedley, Texas Joy Harrison of Big Spring, Texas; one grandson Chad Dudley of Fallen, Nevada; one granddaughter Melody Fannin of Denver City, Texas; four great-grandsons Daryl Cody of San Diego, California, Dustin Cody of Waco, Texas, Daniel Cody of Houston, Texas, and David Fannin of Macon, Georgia; many nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as her church family.
