Obituary:
BOOKER - Janice Loree Stabel, 63, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, in Perryton.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Darrouzett Cemetery at Darrouzett. Memorial services will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Darrouzett with the Rev. Carl Thorell and the Rev. Bill Griffin officiating. Arrangements are by Good Samaritan Funeral Service.

Mrs. Stabel was born in Booker and was a lifelong resident. She returned to school at a later age and earned her diploma in 1974.

Living on a farm east of Booker, she was a homemaker and member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Darrouzett. She was involved in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America Altar Guild and the Booker Home Demonstration Club.

She married Elmer Stabel in 1952 at Las Vegas.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Craig Stabel of Booker and Roger Stabel of Dallas; two daughters, Lori Potter of Sulphur Springs and Debbie Stabel of Abernathy; three sisters, Jackie Comer of Downey, Calif., Sharon Elsasser of Lakewood, Calif., and Phyllis Hester of Prescott, Ariz.; a brother, Ron Clarke of Madera, Calif.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to the American Cancer Society or St. Paul Lutheran Church Altar Guild.
