Florinda Cornejo, 78, was born to Simone Cerda and Eva Rivera on November 24, 1936 in Potete, Texas. She passed away at her home Wednesday, January 21, 2015 in Andrews, Texas. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Philadelphia Assembly of God Church in Andrews, Texas. Pastor Samuel Emiliano will officiate under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Florinda married Joe M. Cornejo on December 10, 1954 in Jourdanton, Texas. They moved to Andrews in 1966 where she was a housewife and mother to nine kids. She was a member of the Philadelphia Assembly of God Church, and loves to hold bible studies in her home. She always enjoyed having friends and family visits. She liked spending time outside planting roses. Shopping was one of her favorite hobbies, and she never missed her Spanish soap operas. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, David and Jose Cornejo; one daughter, Lucy Clifton; one granddaughter, Eva Cornejo; two brothers Lache and Tony Balderas, and one sister, Juana Bermea. She is survived by her husband Joe Cornejo; four sons, Louis, Rudy, Simon and Ricky Cornejo; two daughters, Mary Wilson and Molly Tyler; one sister Cleme Salazar; two brother, Arnulfo Balderas, and Armando Balderas; thirty-two grandkids, twenty-one great-grandkids, and many nieces and nephews. www.mcnettfuneralhome.com
