Obituary:
DARROUZETT - Gerald "Jerry" Turner, 67, died Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, in Amarillo.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church in Darrouzett with the Rev. Gary McDonald, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Darrouzett Cemetery by Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Booker.
Mr. Turner was born Feb. 7, 1942, in Depew, Okla., to John Henry and Doris Isabel McCormac Turner. He married Nedra Sue Stanley on Aug. 8, 1970, at Lubbock Church of Christ in Lubbock.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Dale Turner of Cisco; a daughter, Sherrie Huntress of Darrouzett; a brother, John Lee Turner of Garber, Okla.; a sister, Sharron Turner of Enid, Okla.; and four grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Wheat Heart Shiners' Club of Perryton, in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 341, Booker, TX 79005.
