1938 - 2010
Wilfrid A. Bonin, 77, of Lubbock, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, at Covenant Specialty Hospital in Lubbock.
Graveside services for Mr. Bonin will be at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 2 p.m. There will be a visitation at Rix Funeral Directors, this evening from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Mr. Bonin was born on Jan. 7, 1938 in New Iberia, La. On May 20, 1961, he married Eleanor Langston in Myrtle Beach, N.C. He was Catholic. He joined the Air Force in 1955 and was a Vietnam veteran. He retired from the Air Force in 1979.
His wife, Eleanor of Lubbock; one son, David Bonin and wife Rosie of Killeen; a grandson, Nicholas; a granddaughter, Mandy; and a great-grandson, Brant, survive Mr. Bonin.
A son, Dennis Bonin; his parents; and two brothers; preceded him in death.
