Alberto Flores, 82, of Andrews passed away early Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Medical center hospital in Odessa. Visitation at La Nueva Jerusalem Church will be Thursday, October 9, 2014 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, October 10, 2014 at La Nueva Jerusalem Church in Andrews. Burial will be in Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Mr. Flores was born September 10, 1932 in Valle Nuevo, Chihuahua, Mexico to Arcadio and Balvina Flores. He married Candida Armendariz August 10, 1953 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. They have been long time resident of Andrews. He was a very active member of his church, the Apostolic Worship Center in Andrews. He loved to sing and play his guitar in Church. He loved his family and spending time with them. Alberto loved baseball and was a gifted pitcher in his earlier years. He also loved to deer hunt, work in his garden and spend time in the outdoors. While living in Mexico he lived close to his church and he loved to host visiting ministers at his home. He was a strong Christian man.
He was preceded in death by, his parents, four brothers; Reynaldo Flores, Manuel Flores, Arcadio Flores, and Encarnacion Flores, one sister; Ofelia Jimenez, and two infant sons. He is survived by his wife, Candida Flores of Andrews; his sons, Samuel Flores and wife Neri; Saul Flores and wife Arabela; Alberto Flores II and wife Teresa, Hazael Flores and wife Arminda; Flavio Flores and wife Amabila; Ever Flores and wife Otilia; Ismael Flores and wife Mary Ann; Daughter; Dalila Melendez and husband Rafael; Sons; Leonel Flores and wife Griselda; Caleb Flores and wife Maribel, and Abdiel Flores; sisters Carolina Ramirez and Balvina Rodriguez; 28 Grandchildren, Linda; Sammy; Stella; Saul Jr.; Sergio; Christobal; Abigail; Nehemiah; Karina; Alberto III; Ivan; Ruby; Yadira; Liliana; Eliana; Nathaniel; Bianca; Joshue; Gabriel; Elizabeth; Ezequiel; Christian; Alexssa; Leonel Jr.; Salma; Samantha; Lissette; Paola; 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. www.mcnettfuneralhome.com
