Alvis Richard Prindle died on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009. Services are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 25, 2009 at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park Chapel with Bishop Don Johnston and Bill Thompson officiating. Visitation is scheduled from 10 until 11:30 a.m. the day of the service. Burial will be at Peaceful Gardens following the chapel service.
Rick was born on Sept. 14, 1936 in Seagraves, Texas. He moved to Lubbock as a child leaving when he entered the Navy in 1955. Senior Chief Prindle retired in 1979 and moved back to Lubbock, where he worked for Texas Instruments until it closed. Two sons, Cecil Bruce and Monty Ray, and his father, Cecil Moris Prindle, preceded him in death.
Rick is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia; two daughters, Gale Lewis and Michelle Prindle, all of Lubbock; his sister, LaVerne Failor of Gasquet, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
