Obituary:
Benjamin Oliver BOYER, son of David W. and Maria BOYER was born in Ohio, May 22, 1854.
His parents came westward when he was but six months old, locating in the vicinity of Farmington, Iowa.
He being the 15th child of a family of 16 children, only one of which survive him, who lives in Farmington, Iowa, at the age of 85.
He married Martha E. FINE, February 22, 183. To them were born two sons, Orr of Iowa; Dorr of California and two daughters, Beulah and Gladys of Booker, Texas. The wife and all the children, eight grandchildren; one great grandchild and a host of other relatives and neighbors survive him.
About a year of 1887, he affiliated with the I. O. O. fraternity, of which he remained a member until his death.
In the year of 1900 he confessed his faith in and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and remained faithful to the end. In 1906 he and his family came to Oklahoma, locating in the vicinity of the present site of Booker where he lived until his Maker called him home December 17, 1933.
Funeral services were had at LaKemp church and interment made in the Booker cemetery Tuesday afternoon, December 19, 1933.
