Loretta Jean Page, 77, of New Braunfels, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Eden Hills Nursing Home. She was born to Olan and Hazel Kersey in Parmer County, Texas on January 6, 1938. Jean grew up on a farm and attended high school in Las Cruces, New Mexico. She married Alexander Edward Page on July 18, 1958 in Dallas, Texas. She later made her home in Irving, Texas where she lived for many years and was very active at the First Baptist Church and the Turf Turners Garden Club. She moved to New Braunfels in 2004 and became an active member of Oakwood Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother and “Grammy”. She loved traveling and was able to visit various countries in Europe and South America. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Olan and Hazel; husband, Alexander Page; and brother, Wilton Kersey. She is survived by her son, Michael A. Page and wife Martha of New Braunfels, son, Steven W. Page and wife Michele of Austin; step-son, James Page and wife Kathy of Flower Mound; sister, Sharon Atkins and husband Barry; brothers, Wesley Kersey and Wayne Kersey of Portland, OR; aunt, Ruby Prindle; sister-in-law, Jeanine Kersey; grandchildren, Alex Page and wife Rebekah, Kaitlyn Jafarian and husband Tyler, Michael A. Page, Jr., Anna M. Page, and Austin Page; great-grandchild, Waylon Alexander Page. Public Visitation will begin 1:00 PM Monday, August 10, 2015 at the Chapel at Eden Hills Communities with a Funeral Service to begin at 2:00 PM. A Graveside Service will be held 12:00 noon Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Sparkman Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to New Braunfels Christian Academy Scholarship Fund, 220 FM 1863, New Braunfels, 78132.
