This small cemetery memorial is located behind the Guinn Justice Center near the 200 block of S. Walnut St. This was part of a larger cemetery, Cleburne's first ever. Both pioneers and Anadarko Indians were buried 150 years ago. When the present Cleburne Memorial Cemetery opened in 1874, the families of many settlers buried in this cemetery chose to have the remains moved to the new cemetery. The graves of two persons still buried here have been identified. Some of the other graves remain but are not identified.
