Mary Dominguez Pando, 78, of Andrews passed away on Monday, November 16, 2015 in Odessa after a protracted battle with breast cancer. Rosary services will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, November 19, 2015 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews. Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Friday, November 20, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Andrews. Interment will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery.

She was born to the late Damas Dominguez and Pilar Heredia Dominguez on March 30, 1937 in Redford, Texas. She attended school in Redford, where she excelled in athletics garnering a letter in Volleyball. On July 12, 1955, she married Amador A. Pando in Kermit, Texas. Mary and Amador began their family in Kermit and relocated to Andrews in 1964. In the early 1970’s, they began Pando Plumbing in Andrews. Mary worked at the business as a bookkeeper and office manager for over 30 years. In addition to raising their six children, she furthered her education by attending adult continuing education classes. She loved being an active participant in her children’s academic and athletic endeavors, which was her greatest achievement. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Susanna Pando, who died in infancy, her sister, Guadalupe Olivas, and her two brothers, Eddie Dominguez and Damas Dominguez. Mary is survived by her husband, Amador Pando of Andrews, her children Noel and Dolly Pando of Andrews, Sylvia Pando of Andrews, Amador, Jr. and Toni Pando of Andrews, Selma and Ernest Falcon of Andrews, Sandra and Lupe Garza of Odessa, Sarah Pando of Andrews, twelve grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, sister, Connie Bermea of Kermit and a number of other relatives and close friends. Memorials may be sent to Susan G. Komen breast cancer research at / Mary remained a brave, iron-willed woman, even throughout her final months.
