Anita Saldana, 64, of Andrews passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at her home in Andrews, Texas.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday August 29, 2015 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews, Texas. Burial will be in Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home. Phil Marroquin of Andrews, Texas will officiate.
Anita was born July 26, 1951 in Carlsbad, NM to Santiago and Josefa Saldana. She has been a long time Andrews’s resident. She started working at Kirby West in Andrews in 1972 and worked there for 38 years and she really loved her job. She was an amazing mother and would do anything for her family. She loved to watch old western movies on TV and was a big John Wayne fan. She enjoyed going to the Casino. Anita was a very giving loving person that would help anyone in need.
Preceded by her father Santiago Saldana; sons, Michael Aguilera, and Juanito Aguilera; brother, Chago Saldana; great grandchildren, Andrew Nino, Baby Zarate, and Raul Saldana Jr.
Survived by her mother Josefa Saldana of Andrews, Texas; longtime companion Hugo Balderas of Andrews, Texas; daughters, Rosy Curry of Andrews, Texas, and Vicky Nino of Andrews, Texas; sons, Jesus Saldana of Andrews, Texas, and Jose Aguilera of Andrews, Texas; brothers, Esteban Saldana of Andrews, Texas, Alejo Saldana of Andrews, Texas, and Jesse Saldana of Andrews, Texas; sister, Maria Salerno of Andrews, Texas, Francisca Madriles of Andrews, Texas, and Susy Rushing of Kingsville, Texas; sixteen grandchildren, and twenty great grandchildren.
