Graveside services for Ruth Miller, age 87 of Denver City, Texas will be held Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Denver City Memorial Park, with Rev. Bob Fred officiating; burial will follow. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Chapel of Denver City, in association with Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.
Mrs. Miller passed away December 6, 2008 at Children of the Pioneer Nursing Home in Denver City, Texas following a lengthy illness. She was born in Fair Valley, Oklahoma on August 14, 1921 to Zora and Dewey Wheat.
She married Victor Miller on January 17, 1941 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Denver City. She was known for her great cooking and as a great provider for her family. She was a homemaker and a member of the Quilting Club.
Mrs. Miller is preceded in death by her husband Victor in 1995; one daughter, Vicki Rubio, in 2006; two brothers and one sister.
She is survived by 1 son, Bill Joe Miller of Slidell, Louisiana; 1 gandson, Chad Rubio of Denver City, Texas, 1 granddaughter, Lindsey Jo Miller of Slidell, Louisiana. Source: Boyer Funeral Home.
