Liova E. DeLaCruz, 77, of Andrews passed away Friday November 5, 2010 at her home in Andrews. A prayer service will be held at 6:00 PM Saturday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be 2:00 Sunday at Iglesias Bautista Bethel Church in Andrews. Rev. Benjamin Chavez will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Liova was born September 28, 1933 in Kemp, Texas. She married Juan DeLaCruz December 16, 1958. They lived in Andrews in 1960 then moved to San Diego, California. In 1977 they moved back to Andrews. She was a very active member of her church and she was a great Christian woman. She loved to talk to people about Jesus. She served as the director of the WMU women’s group of her church. She loved to pray with her grandchildren. She loved to garden and could grow anything. She also loved to watch her grandchildren play ball.

She is survived by her husband, Juan of Andrews; four sons and their wives, Juan and Mary DeLaCruz, Moses and Corina DeLaCruz, Daniel and Dawn DeLaCruz and Abel and Kim DeLaCruz all of Andrews; her sister and brother in law, Nievas and Mario Salina of Laredo, Texas; grandchildren, Juan and Sarah DeLaCruz; Adrian and Stephanie DeLaCruz; Simon and Andrea DeLaCruz; Anthony Mendez; Elizabeth DeLaCruz; Moises and Liz DeLaCruz; David and Alpha DeLaCruz; Anthony and Brittney DeLaCruz; Liova and Joe Morales, Daniel, Jessica and Adam DeLaCruz; Abel DeLaCruz, Jr.; Ezmeralda DeLaCruz; Amber and Jeremy Martin; Amanda Hill; Alex DeLaCruz; Tori Rodriquez; Cameron, Matthew and Darby Comer; and 20 great- grandchildren.
